Shimla: Tragedy struck a family, when the car in which a father and his two sons were travelling lost control and went off the road near Chaila, in Shimla distict, and fell into Giri river leaving the father and one son dead on the spot on Monday morning.
The three of them were travelling by the family car (HP-63-7300), said a police spokesman, from Shimla to their home near Gumma, when the driver lost control and the vehicle fell into the Giri River gorge at about 9 a.m.
Chet Ram (52) and his elder son Rakesh (32) died on the spot where as Narinder (25) the younger son is seriously injured and has been shifted to IGMC hospital in Shimla for emergency treatment, the spokesman said.
Cause of the accident could not be ascertained and the police have registered a case, he said.

why dont State government ask fund from Center to put fenders on roads to avoid vehicles skidding off the road.
They should be made to publish records of accidents annually and remedial measures taken by them many accidents happen beacuse of careless attitude of PWD, roads not kept in good shape and people parking on roads itself.
