Shimla: Mobile operator Aircel, in collaboration with the entertainment company Balaji Telefilms today announced launch of interactive detective mobile series – Kriminal Kaun.
Gurdeep Singh, COO Aircel said that Kriminal Kaun is a series of ‘audiosodes’, where Aircel voice users can subscribe to the service and listen to exciting stories in Hindi.
The stories are gripping and focus on mystery be it murder, kidnap or robbery. There is a fresh series every week like – Crime in Fashion World, The Trap, Wedding Night Murder, etc. Each series has 4 episodes, updated daily – in the first episode the consumers get to hear the story ; the second episode focuses on investigation ; the third episode is dedicated purely to subscriber interaction where they get to guess the “Kriminal†in the series and in the fourth episode the detective Inspector Avinash solves the crime.
“We have partnered with Balaji Telefilms to offer India’s first interactive and detective daily audio series on mobile phones,†said Gurdeep.
Speaking about the new service Puneet Kinra, Group CEO, Balaji Telefilms said, “considering the busy lifestyles of Indian consumers, we decided to offer entertainment on the move.â€
The interactive detective series had been introduced by New Media – a digital entity of Balaji Telefilms, and more were in the pipeline, said Kinra.
Balaji Telefilms started in 1994, by Jeetendra Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor has a dominating presence as content provider for the television industry.
Aircel, which has a network in Himachal, is part of Maxis Communications Berhad, Malaysia and is India’s fifth largest GSM mobile service provider with a subscriber base of over 36 million.
