Shimla: For the 6th consecutive year, HP State Industrial Development Corporation (HPSIDC) reported a profit after it held it AGM on Wednesday and is among one of the few state public sector undertaking that is profitable.
Presided over the Kishan Kapoor, at the annual general meeting of the corporation, the annual accounts for 2008-09 were approved wherein a profit of Rs 6.86 crore was declared.
A spokesman of the corporation stated that it was the sixth consecutive year when HPSIDC has recorded a profit.
Kashmir Chand, MD of HPSIDC informed the board that the accumulated profits of the corporation now stood at Rs 11.60 crore and it was a debt free company.
A review about the development of new industrial estate at Davni near Baddi was also done at the meet. Emphasis was laid about timely selling of plots in the industrial area.
