Shimla: Two children died while the father, mother and the grandmother of a family travelling in a car (HP-09-1299) survived an accident at Charbrara, near Shimla, on Tuesday evening.
The five members of a family from Dilvi village in Kotkhai were travelling to Shimla, when their car went off the road, in all probability due to a driving error and rolled about 100 meters into the valley, said a spokesman for Dhalli police station.
Ravinder Chauhan, the father, Ajnu, the mother and Asha Devi the grandmother sustained injuries and are admitted in IGMC hospital.
However, the two children, a boy and a girl aged 5 and 11 could not survive the accident and died in the hospital, police said.
