Nalagarh: The Himachal Pradesh government ordered an administrative probe into the fire incident in which nine persons were killed, meanwhile the body of missing worker Lalit Kumar hails to UP was recovered this morning by rescue workers., who had trapped inside the fire debris.
Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, who has visited the spot last evening and met with injured at Nalagarh’s Zonal hospital said while addressing media person here that he have directed the deputy commissioner to submit the probe report of the incident as early as possible.
DIG, south zone of state police, Pardeep Kumar also visited the spot soon after the incident occurred, said that fire
victims included six company employees and three fire brigade personnel, who were buried after a wall collapsed on them while they were dousing the flames.
He said after getting the news of fire owner of the company has suffered sever heart attack and he has been hospitalized.
Sumedha Dwivedi, SSP Baddi said that a big blast was heard in the factory that damaged the building and hampered the rescue operation. “The blast might have occurred in cylinders carrying highly inflammable gases that are used for refrigeration. Combustible material present there fanned the fire,” she said. She said nineteen people suffered serious burn injuries, ten injured were admitted at first referral hospital, Nalagarh and nine were referred to Chandigarh.
Rs 15000 were distributed as immediate relief to next kins of all deceased and Rs 5000 were disbursed to injured.
She said that the work to remove the fire debris are still on but there are very little chance to have any more bodies inside it.
At the time of the incident, 49 employees were on duty in the factory. Nalagarh town, an industrial hub of Himachal Pradesh, is about 120 km from the state capital.
