Shimla: A good news from Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal to Cricket lovers; efforts will be made to provide land in every district to construct cricket stadiums in Himachal Pradesh and if possible this process will be followed by sub divisions and tehsils.
He said this at the closing ceremony of H.P. Cricket League Tournament which concluded at cricket stadium, Dharamsala late last evening.
Cricket team from Poanta Sahib won the Trophy of 3 lakh cash prize and Bitta XI team of Una came up as the first runner up winning 2 lakh rupees. The second runner up prizes of Rs. 51,000 each was shared between Rattan Jewellers Mandi and IBD Kufri Shimla.
Bharat Bhushan of Una Cricket team was awarded ‘Man of the Match’ trophy.
Dhumal congratulated the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) for the maiden event it organized in the State to bring hidden rural sports talent to the fore from grass root level in gram panchayats where in a total of 1018 teams participated.
