Shimla: A bus load of girl students from Jodhpur engineering college, out on a holiday in the hills, skid off the road near Dhalli, about 15 Kms from here, injuring at least 25 of them.
The bus (CH-03Q-8181) was on its way back from Narkanda-Kufri to Shimla when it skid off the main road, overturned and landed on a lower road just beyond Dhalli, said Chaman Bhatia – the investigating police officer from the spot. The girls were part of a group from Jodhpur engineering college, he said.
In all about 27 persons were injured, 3 of them seriously, who have been rushed to IGMC hospital, he said. Among the injured are driver Harnik, who hails from Kurali and one lady teacher from the college, said Bhatia.
There were 49 passengers in the bus when it met an accident at 4.25 p.m on Thursday, he added.
