Anurag Thakur, Rajan Sushant file papers in Himachal

CPI(M) enters fray in Mandi.

Shimla: Marking a show of strength Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Anurag Thakur was among the four candidates who filed nominations for the Lok Sabha poll in Himachal Pradesh on Monday

Thakur who is the son of chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal filed his papers for the Hamirpur seat, while Rajan Sushant filed his papers as the BJP candidate for the Kangra seat.

Onkar Shad, filed his papers as the CPI(M) candidate for the Mandi seat and Satpal Singh filed his papers as the BJP covering candidate for the Hamirpur seat.

Chief electoral officer Anil Kumar Khachi disclosed that with filing of the four nominations on Monday, a total of 13 nominations had been filed for the four seats that go to the polls on May 13.

Anurag filed his papers in the presence of senior BJP leaders Shanta Kumar, chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal  and Satyapal Jain before returning officer Abhishek Jain. Proposers for Thakur’s candidature included ID Dhiman, JP Nadda, Urmil Thakur and Virender Singh.

    Indian politics has become property of few families.. few hundred of them.. and they are sucking the life blood of everyone out there.. how come they can not find able candidates other than their Sons, daughters, nephews and uncles…
