Shimla Tourists among donors to meet blood shortage at IGMCH

Shimla: Tourists out on a holiday were among volunteers who donated 116 units of blood at two camps that were held in the city, at the Ridge and Kasumpati, on Sunday, by Voice of Himachal (VOH), Umang Foundation for Thalassemic Children and Youth Enlightening the Society (YES).

Early this week doctors of Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMCH) had alarmed blood shortages at the blood bank in the hospital.

And blood donation camps like this proved very helpful stated Dr. M.L. Kaushal, in-charge blood bank IGMCH.
