Shimla: A severe bus accident took place at Lambi Dhar in Fagu near Kufri killing over 20 passengers leaving 3-4 passengers injured, according to the sources. However, police has figured the number of deaths to be over 30.
A private bus (HP-63-3774) fell into a 600 metres deep gorge today in the morning at about 10:30 am, while it was on its daily route from Kotighat to Shimla.
Arun Coach (name of the bus) was owned by U.D. Sharma.
Rash driving is assumed to be the reason for the major accident by the police.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, paid condolence to the relatives of the dead in the accident and said that help and relief team with machinery has been rushed to the spot.
