[lang_en]Shimla: Chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal inaugurated a blood donation camp that was organized by IAS Officers Association, IAS Officer’s Wives Association in association with HP Red Cross Society, at the Ridge on Wednesday.
In all 264 units of blood was donated at the camp of which 23 were by volunteers from tourism department.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that donating blood was not only a pious service towards the suffering humanity but also contributes significantly towards physical and mental well being of the donors.
“Blood donors have been saving precious lives of those people who are in dire need of it at a critical moment,” he said.
Besides other bureaucrats, chief secretary Asha Swaroop and additional chief secretary Parminder Mathur were present on the occasion.[/lang_en]
