Shimla:Fifty nine persons were injured, three of them seriously when a state transport bus of Himachal Roadway in which they were traveling rolled off the road near Sharunta village of Rohru on Friday morning.
“There have been no casualties and all injured are being treated, said RM Sharma, district police chief. The bus is reported to have rolled over twice and came to a halt about 60 feet below the road.
A police spokesman from Rohru said that a case of rash and negligent driving has been made out against the driver. In all 55 people have been admitted to Rohru hospital and three have been referred to state hospital IGMC at Shimla, he said. The injured include the driver and the conductor, he added.
The bus was on a local route from Melhti to Rohru when it met with an accident. Among the injured are 35 residents from Sharunta village of whom 33 are said to be belong to Harijan families.
