Shimla:Domestic tourism that has mainly grown out of religious tourism has become a subject matter of government policy and the state would promote more places of religious interests, said chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal.
Speaking on the occasion of a book release function about Ecotourism by Arun Sharma, the chief minister said that the state had ample scope for all kinds of tourism activities. Policy makers had to devise ways for encashing from tourism activities as it was a large employment provider, he said.
