KUMARHATTI: Dr. Harjinder Singh Majhail, Director Principal of Dagshai Public School, Dagshai, 4 km from here has been selected for “Rashtriya Vidya Saraswati Puruskar” for his outstanding achievements.
The award will be presented to Dr. Majhail by International Institute of Education and Management on 19th August 2008 in New Delhi at a largely attended prestigious ceremony for his meritorious services for the promotion of education, creative writing, management and journalism.
Dr. Majhail has a rich history of many awards conferred to him from time to time, which include the prestigious Padam Bhushan Dr. Bhai Vir Singh Award, Saint Bhulle Shaw Award, Dr. Ambedkar Fellowship Award etc.
Dr. Majhail who has been the press correspondent of Indian Express and Jansatta is a well known for his famous books in Punjabi poetry entitled ‘Antar Agan’ and ‘Jivtyia Mar Rahiya’, in Hindi Poetry entitled ‘Mann ka Vatayian’ and ‘Mann- Aatam Khashitiz’and his popular ‘Psychology of Five Khands in Japuji’ and hundreds of articles on different educational and philosophical themes in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
Dr Majhail has recently lauded for the publication of his philosophical translation of Japuji entitled: ‘Japuji: The Gateway to Liberation’ and for his famous English Poems entitled ‘Eulogy to Guru Nanak’, ‘The Birth of Japuji’, ‘Sach Khand’ and ‘Innovation to Nanak’.
Dr. Majhail was congratulated by the students, staff and well-wishers for his selection for the prestigious award.
