KUMARHATTI: Around 150 users of BSNL landline and broadband services in Khera area near Nalagarh have put to the great hardship due to non functioning of services from the past 8 days. The services disrupted on May 27 night has not yet restored despite repeated pleas of affected person to the department.
The snag in services has also put the industrial units in area in catch -22 situation whose daily functioning have suffered badly for want of telephone and internet . We were unable to send data to our head office for over one week as internet was not working, pointed out a HRD official of a unit in Khera area. All efforts to draw department attention towards problem has failed to yield any results so far, he rued.
Inquires showed that services were lying affected in Nichala Khera, Nanowal Taprian and Pokhra villages. As per residents, on May 27th the 60-meter cable of BSNL was stolen near Khera bridge. After that the services went out of order. Even after a week since the cable was stolen, the department has failed to lay the new cable, lamented residents.
Meanwhile a senior BSNL officer of area has denied any problem related to services. He however admitted that the cable was stolen.
