Pilot Project worth Rs 429 lacs sanctioned for Himachal

A Pilot Project worth Rs 429 lacs has been sanctioned under the sponsored scheme for revenue administration and updation of land records, disclosed Thakur Gulab Singh, the Revenue Minister. The projects also includes a re-survey of an area of 2826 sq. kilometers excluding forest area in Sirmaur district.

He further said that a state level society would be constituted in order to oversee, monitor and make sure that effective implementation of computerization of land records and digitization of land records takes place. Land records related services would be strengthened through multiple common access infrastructure like Common Service Centres (CSC). The re-survey work of land would be done by using latest technology with the combination of GPS and Total Stations, maintaining maps and updating them in a single unit. He stated that the data entry work of 19734 revenue villages out of total 20681 revenue villages have been completed.

Another project under National Land Resource Management Programme for providing about 1551.58 lacs to the State has been sent to the Government of India.
