Speaking at the meeting of the Board of Directors of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC), Prem Kumar Dhumal, the CM said that the rich culture and traditions of the state should be highlighted so as to attract more and more tourists. He also said that HPTDC has earned a net profit of 2.72 crore.Congratulating HPTDC on the turnover, he said that Hotel Holiday Home would now on accord a traditional welcome with ‘Tilak’ to all the guests. With increasing number of tourists visiting the state, unexplored adventure tourism spots must be brought up, he added.
The board has not only approved the budget estimate for the year 2008-09 with a target of earning 56.30 crore and net profit of 5.25 crore for the coming financial year but also the 5 percent interim relief which would be provided to the HPTDC employees from March, 2008.
