Shimla:
The Himachal cabinet on Friday decided to hold the new government’s first budget session from March 4 to April 11.
Presided over by chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal the cabinet also decided to develop two Primate Protection Parks at Jihan forest near Nadaun in Hamirpur district and another one between Sankat Mochan Temple and Tutikandi area in the state capital for controlling the problem of marauding monkey populations. An amount of Rs 3.02 crores was approved for developing these simian parks.
The cabinet also approved setting of two new monkey catching and sterlization centres at Gopalpur in Palampur sub-division of district Kanga and at Taal in district Hamirpur. Profession veterinary staff would be deployed to carry out the task for which an amount of Rs 2.6 crore was sanctioned by the cabinet.
The cabinet has asked the personnel department to frame uniform recruitment and promotion rules for different category of employees serving in various government departments of the state with a view to remove the disparity and anomalies among those categories of employees.
