Shimla: The Election Commission has appointed 40 observers for overseeing fair electioneering in Himachal Pradesh, Manisha Nanda, chief electoral officer stated. Thirty of them have been made general observers and 10 of them will keep a tab on candidate election expenditure, she said.
Filing of nominations that opens two days later closes on 30th November and the last day of withdrawal is put at 3rd December, as per the schedule announced by the election commission.
Polling for the second phase would take place on 19th December and counting for both phases would be held on 28th December. Elaborate arrangements have been made to complete the election process transparently and peacefully, said Nanda.
