An earthquake of mild intensity, measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale, shook several areas of Chamba and Kangra
districts of Himachal Pradesh early today.
The tremors were felt at several places in Chamba and Kangra districts and lasted about six seconds, forcing people to flee
their homes into open places at 1044 hrs, , sources in the Seismological Department said.
However, there was no immediate report of any loss of life and property in the state due to the quake, official sources said.
