Thakur Singh Bharmauria files nomination papers from Bharmaur

Congress nominee for Bharmaur( Tribal) seat, Thakur Singh Bharmauria, who is also the sitting MLA today expressed optimism that he would win the seat with massive margin as he enjoys raport amongst the voters of the area. I have worked hard for the well being of the people, he told a gathering at Bharmaur after filing his nomination papers for contesting from the Bharmaur seat for seventh time in succession.

He remained MLA for four times and is once again trying to enter the state assembly. In 2003 assembly elections, Bharmauria had defeated Tulsi Ram of the BJP by a margin of 9,692 votes. Both are contesting against each other this time too.

Bharmauria went to the office of the ADM, Bharmaur, Naresh Kumar Lath in a procession of the Congress workers of the area. However, he entered the office only with a handful leaders and supporters as per the directions of the Election Commission. DSP, Bharmaur was personally supervising the entire security operations.

With this two candidates have so for filed their nominations from the Bharmaur seat and both belong to the national parties. The BSP nominee, Balbir Pathania will file his papers on Friday, according to a spokesman of the party.

Before filing his nomination papers, Bharmauria addressed an election rally and exhorted the people to repose faith in him and the Congress for their own wellbeing and development. He told the people that Congress and development were two faces of the same coin and the party was all set to form its government in the state under Vir Bhadra Singh.
