The Himachal Pradesh Government has decided to replace the already issued green cover APL ration cards by a multi-colored APL Ration Cards. This process would start in all the Districts of the State from 16th October, 2007 and completed up to 31st October 2007 , according to an official spokesman.
The spokesman said that all the APL ration card holders are requested to contact the Pradhan/ Secretary of the concerned Gram Panchayat in rural Areas and District Inspector/ Inspector (Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs) in Urban Areas for replacement of their green cover APL ration cards by the new multi-colored ration cards. No fee or price have to be paid for this replacement, he added.
