KASAULI: The Kasauli mandal BJP in its meeting held at Jabli, 14 km from here today has decided to hold booth committee meetings on large scale in coming time. Aiming to capture Kasauli seat from Congress this time the party discussed the planning to carry out the propaganda on Congress misdeeds during its rule.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Sham Lal Sharma the Kasauli Mandal President, Mr. Satpal Kamboj the former BJP MLA, Mr. Virender Kashyap the senior party leader and office bearers of Solan district party committee.
The rumour over fielding an outsider as party contender for seat was also discussed in meeting. The party leaders told The Tribune that it was only rumour and nothing yet has confirmed on it. The leaders stressed upon the need of pitching a local candidate to defeat Congress from seat.
The five and six contenders have come up open for their claim on seat. However there was stong negative response in party circle particularly in youth brigade to field Mr. Virender Kashyap from seat again. Mr. Kashyap had defeated repeatedly on the seat in past.
