Shimla: A Master Plan was under formulation for the planned and systematic development of the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Development Authority, to act as a blue print for future development of the area, wherein all related aspects would be taken into consideration, earmark separate zones for industries, housing, develop commercial sites, recreational and institutional area, besides prepare layouts for major infrastructural facilities. The state government would be reviewing keeping villages of the area out of the proposed Master Plan and safeguard the interests of the people of the area as also adopt liberal attitude towards the implementation of the Town and Country Planning Act for the benefit of the local villagers. This was revealed by Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister, while presiding over the Ist Meeting of the Governing Body of the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Development Authority.
Chief Minister said that services of renowned consultants, namely Centre for Environment Planning and Technology , Ahmedabad and ICPA Management Consultancy Services Ltd., New Delhi, had been requisitioned for formulation of the Master Plan so that the same was prepared strictly in a planned and professional manner to develop the industrial area on the analogy of Greater NOIDA industrial township. He said that Rs. 25 crore had already been made available to the Authority for planned developmental activities and infrastructure building.
