JCB falls into gorge, one dead three injured

renukaji_accident.jpgNAHAN: One person was killed on the spot, three injured when a JCB machine [HP-18 B – 9806] on way to Sangrah today fell into a deep gorge at village Khegwa on Dadahu – Sangrah road.

According to Sangrah police, driver of the JCB reportedly fled from the spot after accident took place. Ramesh Kumar [22] resident of village Kando was killed on the spot while three injured persons Prem Singh [14] resident of village Khegwa, Satish [21] resident of Khegwa and Jagia Ram [21] resident of Ghaton Kail were rushed to Dadahu Hospital by the local residents and police personals from where they were referred to Nahan district Hospital.

Tehsildar Sangrah Mr J. C. Sharma paid rupees three thousand as emergency relief to the kin of deceased and rupees five hundred each to the injured person. Police has registered a case in this regard and a hunt has been launched to trace the driver.  According to sources the JCB belongs to a resident of the Renuka area who is said to be the brother of MLA of Renuka assembly constituency.
