BJP observes ‘Black Day’ to mark Vidhan Sabha violence and death of a boy

The Bharitya Janta Party (BJP) today protested by observing a ‘black day’ across the state against the high handedness of the congress government that led to a clash among supporters of the two political parties, last Wednesday, and caused a breakdown of law and order, resulting in the death of a four year old boy.

BJP activists have held demonstrations at mandal levels across the state, said Kishan Kapoor, senior party leader. He said the party functionaries have handed over a memorandum through the deputy commissioners and SDMs in all the districts to the Governor, demanding the dismissal of the Virbhadra Singh Government and a CBI enquiry into the violence around the Vidhan Sabha complex as well as the causes for the death of the four year old boy.

All frontal organisations of the party and many people joined the party activists in the protests, he claimed. Reports of BJP holding protests at several places were have been received from other areas of the state also.

Dinesh, the four year old boy who was denied a right to life because of the warring political outfits was referred to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC) here from a hospital in Mandi district but lost his life before the parents could access specialized treatement as the vehicle in which they were traveling was unable to breach the police cordon and political logjam at the Vidhan Sabha complex, last Wednesda
