Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Mr. Vir Bhadra Singh today lambasted BJP for launching mud slugging campaign against him and suggested that such character assassination campaign must be stopped for the sake of clean and issue based politics. He was addressing a gathering at Nohra Dhar, about 140 K.M. from here on the occasion of 58th state level Van Mahotsava.
Mr Vir Bhadra Singh called upon the top leaders of the political parties of the country to take initiative to stop politics of mud slugging in the country. He alleged that BJP had launched this campaign of character assignation against him during Hamirpur by elections, which was a wrong tradition in the state politics, he added.
CM ragged the leaders of third front by saying that under this banner rejected and Aya Ram – Gaya Ram leaders had assembled, they had no future in the politics and this front has no future and no place in the politics of state. He said that such fronts were made just to befool the people by such leaders who had no contribution in the development of the state that’s why all such fronts were omitted in the state politics in the past as people rejected them.
Chief Minister announced upgradation of Govt High school Lana Cheta to GSSS and said that ITI at Bogdhar would be made functional very shortly. He said that vocational education was being promoted in a big way in the state.
Addressing concerns of the farmers he said that government was vigorously pursuing the case relating to T.D. rights of the people in the Hon’ble High court so that early decision was taken in the matter in favour of right holders. He said that government was all for the upholding the T.D. rights of the people.
