V.S. Kokje, Governor, inaugurated an Exhibition titled “SEEDS OF CHANGE’’ organized by Bharat Soka Gakkai a lay Buddhist Organization of Japan today at St. Bede’s College Shimla.
Speaking on the occasion, Kokje said that a respect for the environment is very much a part of the Indian tradition, that why, we worship Trees, Mountains, Son and Moon in India. The seeds of Change exhibition highlights the precious state of environmental resources on the planet and the efforts of ordinary people doing extra-ordinary things in their respective spheres, he added.
Kokje appreciated Bharat Soka Gakkai for being deeply committed to the goals of the Earth Chapter, Man and his environment are not two separate entities , thus the destruction or nurturing of one would automatically result in identical effects in the other, he added.
