Ms Vrinda Devi, President and office bearers of Mahila Mandal Mangarh under Rajgarh Sub Division in a letter submitted to SDM Rajgarh today alleged that under the move to crush their on going agitation against the opening of a liquor vend in their village, President of local Gram Panchyat and Liquor Vend Contractor had conspired to implicate them in a false case.
They have alleged that workers of contractor had misbehaved with the women members sitting on dharna against the liquor vend. It has been alleged that to implicate them in a false and concocted case during the night hours on 19th of April workers of liquor contractor misbehaved with the women, threw wine bottles on the women sitting on Dharna and got registered a false case against the women for allegedly ransacking the liquor vend. Women had alleged that they had approached SHO Pacchad to register a case against the contractor and met S.P. Sirmour also but no action had been taken against the contractor, they alleged.
When contacted SHO Pacchad said that a case had been registered against the women on the complaint of liquor contractor for ransacking the vend. Eight women had obtained bail from the court.
It may be recalled that women members of Mahila Mandal Mangarh were on the path of agitation since April 17th last against the opening of liquor vend in their village. They have met DC Sirmour also but wine was still on sale in the village despite agitation of women.
