Governor V.S. Kokje and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh have expressed their earnest condolences to the fatalities of bus accident, which took place near Kotkhai this morning in which about 20 persons have been reported killed and 24 other injured. Virbhadra Singh immediately visited IGMC, Shimla to enquire about the welfare of the injured of the bus accident.
The private bus, which met with an accident at Dharbar Maur (Kotkhai) was on its way from Kiari to Shimla carrying about 45 passengers.
Governor and Chief Minister, in their condolence message prayed to the God to give strength to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss and also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Chief Minister ordered magistrate inquiry into the bus accident and announced relief of Rs. 75,000 to the next of the kith of the kin, who died in accident and Rs. 15,000 each to the injured besides providing best medical aid to the injured.
