Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister, said that the dispersal of the industrialization to the rural and remote areas would get industrialists additional incentives. He was addressing the meeting of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Kala Amb, in district Sirmour, last evening.
Chief Minister said that rapid industrialization was taking place in the state add the industrialists were concentrating on the border areas of the state to avail of the railway and other communication facilities available in the adjoining states. He said that the expansion in all such areas had reached a saturation point and over crowding was likely to cause inconvenience to the prospective industrialists. He said that the state had industrial friendly environment and had adopted new Industrial Policy to facilitate the industrialists in a big way. He said that his government got the Industrial Package extended upto March, 2010 and was hopeful of getting the same extended to the original date of 31st March, 2013, so that entrepreneurs investing in the state were provided sales tax and other tax rebate benefits. He said that his government would be again reiterating the extension of the Industrial Package upto March, 2013 with the Union Government and hoped that it would be considerate to the legitimate request of the state. He hoped of long term investments by multinational and national companies besides making them partners in the progress of the state towards best industrial state in the country.
Virbhadra Singh said that his government would be offering additional incentives to the entrepreneurs opting to set up their industrial units in the interiors of the state besides similar benefits under the industrial package available to the industrialists in the already developed industrial areas on the borders of the state. He said that the state was power surplus and cheap land with additional basic facilities was being made available to them. He said that his government had made functional the newly constituted Baddi Barotiwala Nalagarh Industrial Area Development Authority to cater to the requirements of the industrialists besides maintaining law and order. He said that the already developed industrial areas were being developed in a systematic and planned manner so that better living conditions and working environment was maintained in such areas. He said that the Authority had also been assigned the responsibility to ensure best municipal civic amenities in the industrial towns. He said that the State Level Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority was clearing all the industrial proposals by according top priority here all concerned high officers assess the proposals and was instrumental in saving the time in completion of the codal formalities.
Chief Minister said that his government was aware of the problems of the industrialists and was making concerted efforts to provide them relief. He said that his government had maintained best cordial relations with industrialists and providing them all possible help for their smooth functioning. He said that the barrier Problem at Kala Amb would also be sorted out as the government intended to construct a composite barrier to cater to the smooth plying of industrial vehicles. He said that if needed the adjoining land would also be acquired for construction of the modeI1l barrier. He said that his government had already taken up the matter of reconstruction of the Markanda motorable bridge with the Government of Haryana and he, would personally be monitoring the progress in the matter for early execution of the same. He said that efforts would be made to decongest the Kala Amb industrial town. He said that the government would also be considering setting up of the fire brigade station in the town on priority. He directed the district authorities to resolve all problems of the industrialists by according top priority.
Shri Virbhadra Singh appealed to the industrialists to actively associate themselves with the developmental, social and religious activities of respective areas so that they could also become partners in the progress of the state. He said that people pf the state were simple, honest and hard working who value the contribution made for their welfare and benefit above all.
