Himachal introduces Computer Application Training Scheme

According to a press note issued by Himachal govt. PR Dept., a spokesman of Social Justice and Empowerment said here today that the Department had introduced Training and Proficiency in Computer Applications and allied activities scheme to the candidates belonging to scheduled castes/ scheduled tribes/other backward classes and minorities. He said that 1000 eligible candidates belonging these categories would be imparted computer training every year so that these candidates could avail the benefits of employment in Government as well as private sectors.

He said that computer training would be imparted to the candidates of these categories having age below 35 years and selected under below poverty line families. He said that training fee of Rs. 1200 per month per candidate under the scheme would be borne by the Department and added that Rs. 1000 per month would also be given a scholarship to the candidate during the training.

Spokesman further said that the Department has also introduced Mother Teresa Asahay Matri Sambal new scheme for the disabled women living below poverty line under which financial assistance would be provided to them for bringing up their children. He said that Rs. 1000 per child every year would be given to those women whose income did not exceed Rs. 11,000 and the age of child should be below 14 years and the assistance would be given upto two children . The application form for these schemes would also be available on www.himachal.nic.in/welfare and in the office of Tehsil Welfare Officer/District Welfare office, Directorate Social Justice and Empowerment Department/DC/ Panchayats/ Anganwari Centres.
