Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister said that State Government would consider holding of entrance tests to State Ayurvedic colleges alongwith combined medical tests in the state (CPMT). He announced constitution of High Power Committee to look into the functioning of Ayurveda department and asked to submit report within two months. He was addressing the State Level Convention of Himachal Pradesh Ayurvedic Medical Officers Association at Baijnath in district Kangra today.

Chief Minister said that Rajiv Gandhi Government Post Graduate Ayurvedic College was being developed as a Centre of Par Excellence in the country where best and latest infrastructural facilities were being created to facilitate quality education, research and higher studies in the discipline. He said that a new hospital complex was coming up fast in the premises to admit indoor patients and also to facilitate the research work in the subject. He said that top professional teachers would be engaged to teach at Paprola College.
Sudhir Sharma, MLA welcomed Chief Minister and thanked him for taking over the local degree college under Government control which had met the long pending demand of the area. He thanked Chief Minister for giving Rajiv Gandhi Government Ayurvedic Post-Graduate College at Paprola which was emerging as a prominent Ayurvedic educational institution in the State.
