Shimla: Tarlok Singh Chauhan was today sworn in as an additional judge of Himachal Pradesh High Court. Acting chief justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir administered oath of office in the presence of a full bench in the chief justice court.
The oath was administered in the presence of Justice Sanjay Karol, Justice Rajiv Sharma, Justice VK Sharma and Justice Dharam Chand Chaudhary.
Earlier, registrar general AC Dogra read out the warrant of appointment issued by President Pranab Mukherjee, appointing Tarlok Singh Chauhan as additional judge of the High Court.
Born on 9 January, 1964, Justice Chauhan studied law at Punjab University, Chandigarh (1987) before enrolling as an advocated with HP Bar Council in 1989.
Having practiced relatively all branches of law, Justice Chauhan has been actively associated with legal aid programmes.
Justice Chauhan is a former student of Bishop Cotton School, Shimla.
