After having worked for over 30 years in constructing hydro electric projects in Himachal Pradesh and Bhutan, Er Amar Lal Thakur retired as Chief Engineer HP State Electricity Board. Born and brought up in the scenic trans-Himalayan land of Lahul - Spiti, currently he spends his time painting mountain landscapes that have cast a life long impression on him. He lives at Hathithan, Bhuntar in Kullu district.
