The ‘Knappen’ reinforce their offence as the 25-year-old Hungarian international received jersey No.28 before he put pen to paper on a four-year contract Thursday, reports Xinhua.
Szalai played three years (2010-2013) for Mainz where he netted 21 goals in 79 appearances. Apart from that he is, since 2009, part of the Hungary national football team where he scored seven goals in 16 caps.
“Adam Szalai in an excellent striker who showed good performances in Mainz. The past season indicated that we need a lot of good players. Competition is important to reach our objectives.
