KUMARHATT: Some unknown person has damaged the foundation stone of a bridge at Sultanpur khud near here last night. The foundation stone was laid down by the local sitting BJP MLA, Dr. Rajiv Saizal on 15th of this month. A PWD worker has noticed the cracks in foundation stone in morning with some broken pieces of marbles lying down at the spot. The workers informed the matter to his seniors who inspected the site.
A case has been registered by police following PWD complaint for causing damage to public property.
It may be mentioned here that the Sultanpur area was dominated by Congress. The development has led to wide spread resentment in BJP workers. According to BJP Kasauli Mandal, the Congress was against the development of state hence it has adopted such cheap means to halt BJP efforts on development.
Meanwhile according to Kasauli Block Congress, the foundation stone of bridge was in fact laid down by Mr. Raghu Raj the then Congress MLA in 2007. The BJP was making fake claim over the work done by Congress, asserted a senior leader of Kasauli Congress.
