Avay Shukla, the Additional Chief Secretary presided over the 2nd Conference on Hydro Power Projects organized by Himurja and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy at Himachal Institute of Public Administration at Fairlawns near Shimla today.
Shukla said that State Government was making every effort to facilitate the entrepreneurs investing in the State and added that they could take benefit of the well equipped website of the Government which furnished detailed information regarding conditions to be fulfilled by them. He advised them to prepare projects while fulfilling those conditions so that necessary clearances could be accorded speedily.
Himachal was serious about protection of environment, which was a priority area only those projects, which fulfilled environment objectives, were being accorded approval, he added. Ajay Mittal, Principal Secretary MPP & Power welcomed the Chief Guest and detailed out the objectives of the Conference. He said that the Conference was providing a platform for holding fruitful deliberations with the entrepreneurs on various issues related to exploitation of hydro potential as well as addressing the concerns of entrepreneurs.
Detailed discussions were held with the 150 entrepreneurs and investors who participated in the Conference.
