New Delhi, May 13 (IANS) It was a cool, clear morning in the national capital Monday with the minimum temperature settling two notches below average at 23.2 degrees Celsius. The met office has forecast a warm, sunny day ahead.
“It will be a warm day. The sky will remain clear. The maximum is expected to hover around 39 degrees Celsius,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official told IANS.
Humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 69 percent.
Sunday’s maximum temperature was three notches below average at 36.1 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 26.7 degrees Celsius, a notch above average. Sunday brought some respite from the soaring heat, as the skies remained cloudy.
