Agra, May 11 (IANS) Ram Das Sharma, 94, a veteran socialist leader and a freedom fighter, died here Friday evening, his family said Saturday.
He was cremated at the Taj Ganj ghat.
His son, Anil Sharma, president of the Agra Press Club, said his father took part in the Quit India movement of 1942 and also contested an election in 1952.
“He was always in the forefront of people’s struggles. He lived a simple life and was an inspiration to many,” son Sharma said.
