Mandi : Today volunteers of My Himachal and Centre for Sustainable Development (CENSUD) distributed sweets and plants to Students & staff of Mandi Public School.
Mr. Praveen Sharma, a local youth leader, who was the chief guest on this occasion told students about climatic changes and other environmental issues. He suggested students to celebrate cracker less diwali as their contribution towards conservation of environment. Students voluntarily took an oath to celebrate cracker less Diwali.
Students also planted Jamun saplings at their school campus. At the request of Principal, Mandi Public School, My Himachal and Censud decided to establish an Eco-Club in Mandi Public School to spread environment awareness among students throughout the year.
