Los Angeles, April 18 (IANS) Actor-comedian Tracy Morgan will host the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas May 19.
Contactmusic.com reports that he can’t wait for the red carpet event. He said: “I am honoured to be a part of one of music’s biggest nights.”
“When you look at the artists who have come up through Billboard over the years, it’s incredible. And how can you say no when (musician) Prince is going to be there?” he added.
The award will honour Prince of “Purple Rain” fame with the Billboard icon award, highlighting his achievements in the music industry.
Prince, 54, will also perform at the event.
Other performers include Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and Miguel.
