Solan: Along with imparting education to students, Bahra University here has initiated a Faculty Development Program to train teachers working in various government schools in the State.
The faculty development program is being closely monitored by the Directorate of Higher Education of Himachal Pradesh and is being carried out under the leadership of Dr. S.K.Bansal, Mr. Pradeep Prem and Ms. Bindu Sharma of the University.
The training program being conducted by the University commenced on the 8th of April and will go on till the 6th of May, 2013.
According to the organizers, after imparting relevant training to the principals, lecturers and headmasters of various government schools in Solan and Shimla districts, the University will extend its facilities to train faculties of various government schools from eight other districts in the State.
Bahra University is a venture of Rayat Bahra group and is a world-class, multi-disciplinary university notified by the UGC under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956. The University is empowered by the UGC to award degrees.
