New Delhi, April 3 (IANS) The government Wednesday released video CDs of some of the best administrative practices for their wider dissemination so that the initiatives taken to simplify procedures were widely adopted across the country.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari and Minister of State for Personnel V. Narayanasamy released five CDs that cover diverse themes such as watershed management, village health and nutrition and sustainable plastic waste management.
The department of administrative reforms and public grievances has prepared CDs on 43 subjects and is in the process of preparing CDs on 13 more issues.
Narayanasamy said the prime minister’s award of excellence is given every year to civil servants for innovative initiatives and the department wanted that such practices were widely disseminated.
He said the CDs will be prepared in regional languages so that states can adopt them as model.
He said CDs will be sent to states, district officials as also panchayati raj institutions.
Tewari said the CDs will help implement administrative best practices.
He said the best practices will reach not only the administrative officials but also people.
