Himachal cabinet approves two new administrative sub-divisions

Shimla:To provide administrative and revenue service’s closer home, the Himachal cabinet on Monday approved creation of two new sub-divisional offices in Una and Sirmaur districts, decided to promulgate HP VAT (Amendment) ordinance, 2012 for the benefit of small contractors and dealers and also approved enhancement of import fee for beer in the state for 2012-13.

Presided over by chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal the cabinet today gave its nod for creation of new sub-divisional offices at Bangana in Una district and Sangrah in Sirmaur district.

Bangana Sub-Division will serve 73,054 population of 40 Gram Panchayats and bring 38 Patwar Circles under its jurisdiction, while Sangrah Sub-Division will serve 70,406 population of 41 Gram Panchayats and bring 25 Patwar Circles under its control.

To provide relief to ‘C’ and ‘D’ class contractors and small dealers running dhabas and canteens, the cabinet approved amending certain provision of HP VAT act through an ordinance.

While deciding to increase the import fee for beer for 2012-13, the cabinet also approved reducing bottling fee on beer both for consumption in the state and that for export purposes.

Giving its approval conducting the Junior Basic Training (JBT) training course annually the cabinet decided to hold a common entrance test through HP School Education Board, Dharamsala annually.

For not obtaining no objection certificated from all concerned panchayats, the cabinet decided to cancel allotment of 1.00 MW Chhor Small Hydro Electric Project in Kullu district.

To maintain law and order problem, the cabinet approved setting up of a police post in Sorang Hydro Electric Project in Kinnaur district.

The cabinet also gave its nod for constructing a parking-cum-commercial complex at Palampur town in Public Private Partnership (PPP) Mode to provide parking and shopping facilities to the residents.
