Shimla : Prices of milk have gone up by Rs 1 a litre across Himachal Pradesh , while yoghurt is dearer by Rs 2 a kg and fresh cheese(paneer) has gone up by Rs 10 a kg .
The new rates have come into effect from Saturday during the current festival season .
Prices have been increased by all companies including the state run Milkfed . Verka , Vita , Super and Metro have all raised their prices .
The prices of milk and milk products have been raised at least three to four times in the last few months alone hitting consumers hard .
