Shimla: SJVN’s 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station has achieved its design energy target of 1878.08 million units for the financial year 2024-25 on 18th December 2024. This has been clocked over three months ahead of schedule.
The decade old power station recorded its highest-ever annual generation of 2098.0314 million units in the year 2019-20.
In 10 years of its commercial operation, the Rampur power plant has generated over 20,000 million units of clean power and did so by achieving its design energy target in 8 out of 10 years.
With a maximum Plant Availability Factor of 106.411%, the plant has recorded its highest ever quarterly generation of 955.6156 million units and highest ever single-day generation of 11.0232 million units in the current financial year.
The successful operation of the Rampur power station, which operates in tandem with the larger and older 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri power station, in 10 years has added over ?8,000 crores of revenues to the central public sector undertaking in the power sector.
“These accomplishments reflect the high technical standards, efficient maintenance practices and operational excellence practiced by the power station”, said an SJVN spokesman.
