A Reform and Performing Modi Government – Anurag Thakur

Dharamshala:  Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur, held out that the reforms implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi led central would open the doors of the country’s turning into an economic superpower.

At BJP workers meet here on Thursday he said, “The Modi government is committed to make India an economic superpower and to shape the future of 125 crore countrymen. In order to make India a $ 5 trillion economy and make the country self-reliant, we have undertaken major reforms in areas of coal, mineral, power, defense sector, civil aviation, social infra project, space, and atomic energy. This step will create a strong, capable and prosperous India of the future.”

Thakur further added that the biggest achievement of Bharatiya Janata Party is good governance and a corruption-free government. He claimed that the Modi government had cleared out brokers – middlemen who used to control the power corridors from Delhi to Shimla during the previous government regimes.

Speaking about the budget Mr. Anurag Thakur said that this time it had been prepared to increase new opportunities for development, new openings for our youth to develop new areas for infrastructure and technology.

He said that this budget was seen as India’s first financial roadmap after Covid. The Union Budget 2021-22 was expected to focus on economic recovery, growth and job creation in addition to the mandatory emphasis on health care and budget announcements. There was a huge increase in spending on infrastructure, attention was given to domestic production, job creation and the emphasis was on self-reliance.

Mr. Anurag Thakur said, ? 5.5 lakh crore has been earmarked for capital investment in this budget towards economic reforms, which will strengthen the industries. At the same time, it was decided to give ? 20,000 crores to the public banks.

Mr. Anurag Thakur said, “We have cleared the way for the credit target of agriculture to 16 lakh crores, made a provision of 65000 crores towards PM Kisan Samman Nidhi for farmers, and had transferred nearly three times the amount from the UPA government to the farmers’ accounts.

He said, “It is a great budget brought in the time of pandemic and its objective is to make India’s economic system a five trillion dollar economy and bring it to the world’s largest economy.”
