Dharamshala: District magistrate of Kangra Rakesh Prajapati made public the third Covid-19 death in the district today. He disclosed that a 52 year old male from Amb village in Jwalamukhi tehsil had scummbed to the pandemic.
The patient was suffering from multiple diseases and was only admitted to Tanda Medical college on Thrusday afternoon. “He was under treatment at PGI chandigarh from where he was discharged on Wednesday (22.7.2020),” said Prajapati.
“On arrival in the district, he was admitted to Tanda Medical College where he wa tested for Covid-19 and was found positive. After the confirmation report, the patient was referred to ZH Dharamshala in accordance with laid out protocols but while being shifted, the patient collapsed in the ambulance. The doctor on duty confirmed the patient is dead. He had high co-morbidities,” said Prajapati.
At Yol camp, two more Corona Positive cases were reported this morning from Kangra. Authorities say that they are army personal of 23 & 33 years age. The two have been shifted to Military Hospital at Yol.
With the death reported from the district today, the Covid deaths in Himachal Pradesh since the pandemic broke out in March has increased to 11. Till date the state has registered a total 1847 coronavirus positive cases of which 1140 have recovered so far. The total number of cases in Kangra has risen to 373.
