Dharamshala: Newly elected young legislator Vishal Neharia (BJP) has refused to avail exchequer paid facilities for attending the winter session of the Vidhan Sabha so as to save precious resources of a fund starved government.
Neharia told the media that he is not availing the stay and dinner arrangement made available for him at Hotel De-Polo in Sheela, Dharamshala from 8th to 14th December. He said that he had informed the Vidhan Sabha administration and the stat government about his decision.
Neharia who was recently elected from Dharamshala in a by-election said, “ immediately after getting to know that a room had been booked for me in Hotel D Polo, I informed the authorities that I will not be using it.” He said that he has taken this decision keeping in mind the economic burden on the government. With this decision of the MLA, the government will not have to bear an additional burden of about Rs 1.5 lakhs for the session on his account.
MLA Vishal Neharia is a Dharamshala resident and his house in Siddhbadi, which is in ward number-17 of the Nagar Nigam. Vishal Nehria was elected to the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Dharamshala in the 2019 in by election ,as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. By-elections happen as earlier MLA of Dharamshala , Kishan Kapoor was elected to Parliament.
